Collectively, our two principals, Dr. Daniele Micci-Barreca, and Dr. Satheesh Ramachandran have over 25 years of data mining research and application experience in a wide variety of domains – ranging from tax administration, internet-based commerce, automotive warranty abuse, auto injury claims, etc. Daniele Micci-Barreca, Ph.D. - Principal Dr. Daniele Micci-Barreca brings over 12 years of experience in applied Data Mining and advanced analytic solutions, with particular emphasis in fraud detection and compliance applications. Throughout his career he has helped major Fortune 500 organizations and government agencies achieve higher levels of operational efficiency, reduce losses and gain data insight by leveraging advanced analytics. Prior to founding Elite Analytics Dr. Micci-Barreca served as Director of Data Mining and then Sr. Director of Fraud Solutions at ClearCommerce Corporation, an industry leader in electronic payment processing and fraud detection. At ClearCommerce he was instrumental is developing one of the most advanced commercial solutions for e-commerce fraud detection. He also provided risk management consulting and analytical services to key clients. Earlier in his career Dr. Micci-Barreca held various consulting positions at Intelligent Technologies Corporation, NeoVista Software and Epsilon, servicing a roster of customers which includes Wal-Mart Stores, Ford Motor Company and the State of Texas. Dr. Micci-Barreca holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive and Neural Systems from Boston University and a Master in Computer Science from the University of Houston Satheesh Ramachandran, Ph.D. – Principal Dr. Satheesh Ramachandran brings a diverse experience base in the design, development and deployment of statistical and data mining systems for a diverse set of verticals. The verticals include financial services, banking, healthcare, airlines, hospitality, and tax administration. Prior to co-founding Elite Analytics, Dr. Ramachandran led data mining efforts at Sabre Corporation, Knowledge Based Systems Inc., Providian Financial, and IBM. In all these organizations, he has played pivotal roles both in consulting engagements, as well as in product development. His consulting engagements have included major fortune 500 companies and innovative e-commerce entities such as Bank of America, U.S. West, Fleet Financial, American Airlines and Medigenesis. Dr. Ramachandran has also served as principal investigator for multiple research and innovation projects sponsored by government agencies such as the Department of Defense and NASA. His thought leadership in these research and development engagements over a decade has produced measurable ROI for clients, both in the public and private sector. Dr. Ramachandran holds a M.S and Ph.D. in Operations Research from Texas A&M University, and a B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology. He is an active participant in the data and text mining research community and is a frequent presenter at various conferences. |
